To contribute as a volunteer at the Liberty Festival, your commitment involves being available for a minimum of one shift (5 hours) during the event or set-up and tear-down days. Here's an overview of what is expected from our volunteers and what they can expect in return:
Each day of the festival, including set-up and tear-down days, is divided into several five-hour timeframes. Volunteers are expected to complete two shifts (totaling five hours) to earn admission for one day at the Liberty Festival. It is not mandatory for both shifts to be fulfilled within a single timeframe. Volunteers have the flexibility to work more than two shifts, and these additional shifts can be credited toward a four-day festival pass.
As a token of gratitude, each volunteer who dedicates eight hours or more will receive a Liberty Festival souvenir item, such as a t-shirt, or cap. The specific souvenir items are determined before each event.
Volunteers are responsible for their own travel expenses, and accommodations. Parking passes and meals will be provided by festival management. Limited beverages and snacks will be available in the Volunteer Lounge during event hours.
Considering the nature of the tasks, individuals under 18 years of age are generally not accepted for most volunteer positions. Volunteer opportunities for younger individuals (ages 12 – 17) include assisting with youth activities, and distributing event flyer. The Volunteer Coordinator may require a parent to accompany a young volunteer.
Youth groups interested in volunteering should contact info@libertyhorseassociation.com for more details.
We strive to accommodate volunteers by scheduling them to avoid conflicts with their desired times for attending specific clinics or seminars. However, we cannot guarantee these preferences.
All volunteers will be required to sign a release of liability form at the event.
